John Iovino, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Iovino was born in Queens, New York, and raised in a suburb close to upstate near Manhattan. In 2007, he graduated from Boston University, and received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Biology, and a minor in Art History, and Sociology. After spending some time working as a veterinary technician, he decided to apply to veterinary school. In 2012, he graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed his clinical year at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Since graduating veterinary school, Dr. Iovino spent 9 years in multiple small animal veterinary clinics where he focused on medicine, and preventative care. He also had the great opportunity of being a Chief of Staff. After practicing in Atlanta, and Portland Oregon, Dr. Iovino decided to explore digital health. He spent 5 years helping to support, and create online programs for clients to access information about their pets through a Teleadvice system.
Taking all his clinical, and digital health experience, Dr. Iovino decided that he wanted to focus on helping clients with geriatric care, and humane euthanasia. Through his experience with his 17 year old dog, he understands the needs that geriatric pets have, and has committed himself to helping people with their pets in the most difficult time of their lives.
Dr. Iovino lives on the Long Beach Peninsula, with his partner, and 3 pets including a dog, and 2 cats. He loves music, walking the beaches, art projects, hiking, traveling, working on his house, and spending time with friends, and family.
Dr. John has completed the AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) End of Life Care Certificate Program.
